GRE Text Completion

Text completion questions account for about one quarter of the marks for the verbal section of GRE. Each question contains one, two or three blanks, and you have to find the best answers to make the text make complete sense. Be sure to study the text carefully so that you notice all the in-built clues.

On average you will need about 1 minute to answer each question. Our mini tests have 10 questions to be answered in 10 minutes.

After each test review the explanations to your wrong answers to see whether you missed any clues, and make a note of all the words you are not sure of.

Text Completion questions are mainly a test of vocabulary. We advise you to learn our GRE word lists and for further help with vocabulary learning consult Word Focus.

Directions
