Identify the different reasons people communicate.
Communication is vital and if it is effective then the information will be clear, concise, accurate, non-judgemental and informative.
Communication is a very important skill that children will require in order to make friends with other children so they can join in with activities and general playing together. This skill will also help children to understand adults such as reactions and listening to what an adult is telling them.
Staff communicate with the children and their parents to form a special bond and build a relationship with them. Staff will find out the child’s likes and dislikes and work on them.
Parents/carers communicate with their child’s teachers to let them know what their needs are, if they have any allergies, dietary requirements, behavioural problems and medical history of their child. Then if a problem does arise then staff will know how to act upon it.
People will communicate in a setting to discuss how a child is progressing, developing, give feedback to one another or express any concerns they may have. The staff should be sociable, friendly, and approachable and always listen to the parents / carers if this is done properly then it will make us as teachers and parents / carers fill at ease and make them happy that they are leaving their child in a nice environment.
