Sustainable socio-economic Growth is an important need of the present world and it has mammoth possibility in the area of tourism sector and Multi-activity in tourism through which the visitor has an opportunity to have firsthand experience with multiple occupations and activities, rural products, traditional and cultural food and the daily life of the people of the host country. In India, Strategic initiatives for development of tourism sector have been taken and must be given top priority because it has direct linkage with creation of employment opportunities resulting in to economic growth. Providing guidelines to central agencies in tourism infrastructure development, scheme for assistance for large revenue generating projects, public-private partnership in infrastructure development, guidelines for approval of convention centers, motel projects, timeshare resorts, guesthouses, etc. investment-linked incentives offered by state governments include subsidized land cost, relaxation in stamp duty, and exemption on sale/lease of land, power tariff incentives, concessional rate of interest on loans, subsidies/tax incentives, and special incentive packages for mega projects.
