As a teacher and personal trainer, I have found the most comprehensive definition of the meaning of professionalism as, “continually achieving excellence through a willing, eager and responsible approach to; enhancing my own relevant qualifications, knowledge and competence; the development of my own knowledge and the application of good practice relative to teaching and learning (Continuing Professional Development); developing people and improving lives",
Throughout my career as a teacher I should follow the principles of professionalism; taking responsibility and having a proactive approach to improving my subject and teaching knowledge, the progressive application of good practices, addressing and looking for ways to my delivery quality, acknowledging and planning for diversity and inclusivity issues, complying with the law, respecting professional codes of practice, accepting government professionalism guidelines, improving my ability to be an active contributor to professional communities such as the Institute For Learning as they collaborate to improve teaching and learner achievement by developing shared ethics, standards, and research-based practices, expressing the ethical principles guiding professional conduct when necessary, demonstrate and document industry standards-based practice in the classroom, staying current in terms of research on teaching and new developments in teaching trends and disciplines, staying current with media coverage, participate in professional organisations and resource networks beyond my own organisation, communicate with colleagues about issues that are complex and difficult, give presentations for other professionals, initiate activities such as teacher research, study groups, coaching, when possible improve the teaching and learning of the local community, promote positive attitudes, offer help with decision-making, and operate on democratic principles. The only downside to wider professional practice is the time and effort involved in this mainly extra curricular activity. For example, even though I am a personal trainer, I am a member of a coaching gym in london. The standard of coaching this gym provides is comparatively very high, hence the reason for its expensive membership fees. It is also many miles from where I live. Thus making it a fairly expensive and time consuming activity. However the benefits are numerous. As I as a trainer improve through increased technical ability and knowledge; this has a positive knock on effect to my clients and learners, as I am able to teach what i have learned to them. I find the experience highly motivating and am always eager to pass on the new material to my clients and learners, once I have recorded it mentally and physically, and adapted it to their capabilities.

Learning is the key to success - for each of us as individuals, as well as for the nation as a whole. Investment in human capital will be the foundation of success in the knowledge-based global economy of the twenty-first century. This is why the Government has put learning at the heart of its ambition.
The UK government published a Green paper “The Leaning Age” which is claimed to contain essential methods to transform learning. The Learning claims that if human learn throughout their life it can build their assets by encouraging creativity, skills and imagination. Dedication and devotion in learning is necessary for our future success. The government can not force anyone to learn but encourage them. Learning helps people to get the skills and qualifications required for employment. It can increase earnings. It can help people to participate in their community. It can open many doors and accomplish our potential. For the nation, learning will be the key to a strong economy and an inclusive society. It provides a way out of dependency on the state for some learners and towards self-reliance and
