Newspapers and periodicals became very popular. The invention of the radio proved to be also very popular. Advertisers could reach more people than ever before. Many families gathered around to sit and listen to their favorite shows. Everybody that had something to say could reach a lot of people. History unfolded as we listened. Television became the most powerful form of media in history. People watched shows and saw things unfold like never before. Millions of people bought them and the networks became very powerful. Advertisers could now reach more people than ever before. Color television was invented and it became even more popular. The internet was developed and access to information is almost immediate. It continues to advance it seems every year. People can stay in contact with relatives from across the country or world. Bills are paid on-line or on the phone. Companies can reach across the world and do business with each other. Entertainment for the masses is just a keystroke away. You can do almost anything on the internet. People bank from home and do not even have to go to the store. You can search politics and financial reports or anything from your own home.
