Online education has evolved over the last ten years as much as the cell phone. Given this, what have been some of the major improvements and changes in the digital classroom?
Thanks to the national Education Technology plan there have been major improvements and will continue to be improvements in the digital classroom it has yet to unleash its full potential to transform learning. In today’s online learning world technology is a key tool it offers teachers new ways to improve their students learning experiences while offering students the ability to connect to learning opportunities anywhere , anytime. Fifteen years ago if you had email you would log in daily and carried a cell phone that was as connected as you could be now days students can carry a cell phone that can send an email and have access to the web as if they were sitting at home in front of their very own computer. Now instructors can post homework assignments and school can be conducted online even testing such as the exam you take for some programs such as nursing is conducted online and can be issued your certificate once completed which cuts way down on the wait time. In many schools teachers are using electronic smart boards instead of chalkboards in a class with autistic children this can really enhance the learning as visual communication is very key to the learning of an autistic child.
If I post a poem on my Facebook site and someone cuts and pastes it on their site is that a case for stealing my intellectual property?
Stealing intellectual property is better referred to as plagiarism which is an illegal form of copying. It means taking another person’s work without asking and calling it your own it can be accidental or intentional. Whether you hand it in to a teacher or post it in your blog on Facebook plagiarism is against the law in most nations. If you do any of the following copying and pasting from the internet and posting somewhere else without proper citation. Putting your name on another person’s work, copying exact wording from another person’s text or using another person’s photo , diagram, sounds or ideas without proper citation ,
