I selected this song because this song is what some families talk about and believe it or not, my family and I had some of the same conversations as the family in the song. For example in the lyrics it says, “He make the team this year?... they said he wasn't tall enough?,” My mom said almost the exact same words to me when I got cut from the basketball team in high school. Also, when the lyrics talk about a lost loved one; my family had the same conversation over Thanksgiving and Christmas about our grandfather whom passed away. This song relates to me and my family in many ways and it is also one of my favorite songs.
