‘Purple Yeti’
You are employed as an e-commerce advisor by a firm of e-commerce consultants. The company you work for are called ‘Purple Yeti’ and they specialise in small and large-scale retail e-commerce solutions. They advise retailers, brand owners and B2Bs on e-commerce and multi-channel retail strategies, operations and technologies. They have a great deal of experience across all sectors of retail and B2B including grocery, clothing, consumer electronics, home, luxury goods, and all channels and formats from chain stores to pure e-commerce companies.
Purple Yeti has been called in to advise an independent retailer in Burnley about a number of aspects of e-commerce. The company you have been called in to advise are called ‘Outbreak Designer Wear’ who has a retail outlet in the centre of Burnley. They sell a wide range of men’s and ladies fashion clothing aimed at the 16-30 year old age bracket. Flare-for-Fashion are thinking about starting to trade online and has asked you to compile some information to help the company decide if this is a good idea and, if so, how to go about it.
