Friendship
Friendship, defined from Webster’s Dictionary as, the state of being friends, or a friendly feeling. The second definition states a friend as an ally, supporter, or sympathizer. Many people accept the dictionary’s definition of friendship as "the quality or condition of having a personal attachment to another by feelings of affection or personal regard." My personal definition of what friendship is, is a feeling or emotion expressed in such a way that another feels wanted and important, a relationship between a person or persons where everyone has some companion to talk to when they’re in need of one. However, friendships differ between people. For example, the friendship that someone may have between them and their parents would be different than the friendship they might have with someone their age. Friendship is connecting with another individual in a way that builds strong emotional ties that are built on honesty, loyalty, and caring. According to relationship, "we have to make friendship with good friends to get benefits". On other hand, we have to be optimistic although we have some bad friends in our lives and we have no idea about them. However, friendship can be divided into three groups: honest friends, loyal friends, and caring friends.
Honesty is one of the qualities that a best friend should have. It is important to us if our best friend can keep our secrets. In addition, she will never betray me and talk bad things about me behind my back. If our best friend is honest to us, we can trust her, tell and share everything with her. We do not need to worry about our secrets being known by others. If she talks bad things about us to others, there must be fights between us. One other thing I love in my honest friends is they always ask me about my health, my education, and all other things. For instance, "A good friend can tell you what the matter with you in a minute". In my view, friends should be honest to each other, no matter how hurtful things can be. Honesty is equal to trust, and trust eventually builds respect. Saying the truth is hard however, phrase it in a manner that comes from respect, will have a good feedback. Moreover, showing respect shows value, this will always let friends feel free and reliable when they are near. Being a good friend is being honest and then being there for your friend when that honesty is a blow to their emotions.
Loyalty is one of the main qualities one looks for when searching for friends. Trusts are gain by having trustworthy friends. At least once in a person's life, one would encounter a friend that likes to share secrets that belong to others with his/her friends. This could be very entertaining for his/her friends, yet the person with the secret would feel irritated. With no doubts, one would not desire to have a blabbermouth person as a friend; except one who wants to spread rumors around or wants to find out other people's secrets. So, it would be most comfortable to tell secrets to someone that is trustworthy. A loyal friend would protect their friends' secrets under any conditions. Unless permission is given, friends should not publicize each other's secrets. If friends do reveal others' secrets, for example, it could destroy their friendship. A sample situation could be, one's parents had a divorce and she shared this dilemma with a friend. As a friend, he should have comfort her to overcome this painful experience, however, he told other friends instead. Loyalty is a necessity in any relationship. A good friend is loyal to the friendship. Being loyal means stands by friend’s side in their good or bad moments. While some people change a problem to a weapon to destroy a person, a loyal
