Company Over view This proposal is intended to give an overview for the opening of a nostalgic record store named, A Total Music Affair. This proposal will present beneficial and effective information systems that will benefit our business. I will be discussing and providing five different examples of various systems that will that will benefit our business their advantages and drawbacks. My business partner and I come to an understanding of which systems meet our intentions for our business. More specifically, my partner is unfamiliar with different systems of technology. The proposal will explain the jargon (the technical term or characteristic idiom of a special activity or group) of e-commerce, brick and mortar businesses or companies that have a physical presence and other face-to-face customer experiences.
Company Goals Our intensions and goals are to provide a variety of music for eras from a variety of genres. The information systems that we will set in place will meet the needs of our customers. Our sales inventory will consist of compact discs, t-shirts, posters, and music accessories. Our intentions are to take the five information systems depicted and boost our new business straight to the top. We want to stock our business with quality and original music. This will require extensive use of organizational management with our store. CDs had taken over, and even cassettes were more popular. Later, digital music was newer and more accessible. In the late 2000s, however; records were selling quickly, despite an overall decrease in album sales. By 2010, the trend became evident: Album sales decreased by 13%, but sales of vinyl increased by 14%. CD sales fell almost 20% that year, and digital sales only increased by one percent (The Daily, 2012).
To ensure a successful business and customer satisfaction utilization of the following five information systems will be conducted. * Database Management systems (DBMS) * Organizational Information Systems (OIS) * Customer Relationship Management (CRM) * Functional Area( IS) * Electronic Commerce Systems
Database Management Systems- will be the computer programs designed to manage our database. The data search engine is the software that will search information in web pages, images, information, and other types of files.
Organizational Information Systems- in our business will help us understand the characteristics of transaction, processing systems, management information systems, and executive information systems (Business, 2006). Effectively using this system in our business demonstrates how organizations are composed of levels with each using information technology to automate activities or assist in decision making.

• Build long-term, sustainable customer relationships that create value for the company and the customer;
• Help companies acquire new customers, retain existing profitable customers, and grow relationships with existing customers (Infoweb Systems, 2013)
