Eco-Efficiency Manager DB wants to lower their carbon foot print they can challenge themselves to devise energy-efficient solutions that have a positive impact on their bottom line and on other companies who they are trying to reach out to.
According to Ecodesk in 2010 DB produced 612,588 Metric Tons of Co2 which correlates with GRI EN16. In 2010 DB purchased Certified Emission Reductions (CERs) for the first time and reduced emissions by 20%. 70% of their energy consumption was from eco friendly sources. However emissions from air traveled increased relative to their 2009 numbers
DB is planning to be carbon-neutral from 2013 onwards.
