Communication and professional relationships with children, young people and adults
1.1 Explain why effective communication is important in developing positive relationships with children, young people and adults.
Effective communication is vitally important in the development of positive relationships. Some students may struggle with learning or have confidence issues which can lead to them having communication issues and not want to talk openly with all adults. This means treating that pupil in a calm, positive and gentle manner could mean the difference between them trusting us or closing down and giving up, but this also relates to all students and I believe that all students should be spoken to the way I would want to be spoken to by others and that negative comments or tones would hurt feelings.
