The term "ninja" might evoke thoughts similar to the terms vampires, werewolves, or zombies. While the existence of them are barely debatable, there's no question as to the existence of ninjas. Of course, the odds that you would encounter a ninja are about the same as a vampire or werewolf and the odds of surviving an encounter with a ninja are probably smaller. This is the story of my encounter with a ninja. I was born in Ft. Myers, Florida. When I was 5 years old I went to live a few years in Tokyo, Japan which increased my chances of encountering a ninja. When I got to Tokyo I was breath-taken because of all the dojos, martial arts schools. I begged my parents to let me go in one, but they refused. For my sixth birthday they got me lessons at a local dojo. I was so excited I could barely believe this was real! So I walked in on my first day and it was a little grubby. There was dirt everywhere, but I didn’t care I was so excited. So I took classes there for about 5 years, when I finally became a black belt. I was at school one day, daydreaming, when I was aroused by a loud bang in another room. So I went running to find a man in all black standing on a table in the cafeteria. I whispered to myself “Ninja”. All of my hard work at the dojo was finally going to pay off. I ran straight to the kitchen where I knew I could find a knife. I knew the ninja could kill me so I had to think smart and fast. I couldn’t hear the ninja following me but he’s a ninja I won’t hear him. When I finally got to the kitchen I saw a big knife that I could use to defend myself. I quickly turn around to see a star flying right towards my face, followed by the ninja with a small knife. I lean left and missed the star and I run back into the cafeteria I knew the ninja was right behind me. I grab some forks and turn and throw them. I missed the first two but the last one got him right in the shoulder. Now he was mad!
