So it becomes the endeavour of any hospital management to make sure that the nurses are given the most effective training which would help in discharging their duties towards patient care in the most efficient way. Proper selection of nurses, their orientation in the hospital and the induction towards duties and responsibilities forms the key part of any human resource function in a hospital set of organisation. Hence training the nursing professionals becomes very important in any hospital. This study which which evaluates the effectiveness of training amongst the nursing professionals in hospitals thus becomes very important and significant.

Primary data will be collected through a structured questionnaire. There are about 1000 nurses in Columbia Asia Hospitals in Bangalore. Data will be collected from 100 nurses through simple random method using random table. As the sample size is about 10%, the sample would be a true representative of the population.
Secondary data will be collected from magazines, journals, circulars, house magazines and internet.

Data Analysis and Presentation
This data so collected will be converted into meaningful information using statistical intervention so as to facilitate managerial decision making. The interpreted information will be presented through figures and pictorial representation of the data. The directives shown by the study will be collected and presented as findings and from the findings, suggestions will be made to make the training of nursing professionals more effective.

Limitations of the study
• As the study is an academic effort, it will be limited by time, cost and geographical coverage.
• Implementation of some of the suggestions made in the study may require the support of top management for making policy
