Have you ever felt the adrenaline pumping through your veins, have you ever felt like you had to end things for good? In the book Enders Game by Orson Scott Card Ender feels just like this! Ender feels the need to fight to win, and to win permanently. Ender will conquer his enemy to a point of incapability for his enemy to fight back. Ender will endeavor to win by any means necessary, weather it is in a fight, in a battle or against the buggers. Ender tried to win a game he was playing by the rules, by killing this snake, but it wouldn’t work, so he tried another unconventional method. "This time he caught it in his hands, knelt gently below it, and gently so gently brought the snakes gaping mouth to his lips. And kissed" p152. When ender kissed the snake, it turned into valentine. This shows that he defeated the urge to kill it, he defeated the peter side inside him, when he kissed the snake he acts as valentine would, and coincidentally she appeared. Ender does no realize it but valentine is just as must like ender as ender is like her. This is a metaphor for Enders philosophy, he will do anything to succeed, and he will find the right way to do it, no matter what the condition is, even if it is cheating. Ender beat all the other teams in his battle school, doing everything and anything to win, and now it was time to try a new tactic. "By the time Ender himself came through the door, the battle was over. It hadn't taken a full minute from the time the first Dragon passed through the door until the shooting stopped" p.75. Ender defeated the other team not by freezing all the members, but by capturing the base. Ender instructed his team specifically to focus on touching the doors instead of freezing the victims. Ender won without hurting people, he beat the peter side of him by using valentine's philosophy of peacefulness, and kindness. Ender finds the most effective way to win and does it in a timely matter, he makes it personal. When Ender fought Stilson, he made it a personal fight; he fought one on one; he fought one man out of the posse. "I have to win this now, and for all time, or I'll fight it every day and it will get worse and worse…'Knocking him
