Project #2 Scholarship
Dear scholarship committee, Throughout my short, 18 year old life, many people have asked me the question: "What do you want to be when you grow up?" From when I was a child, I have always responded with: "Baseball player." During all four of my years at high school, I attended many showcases and travel leagues to show off my playing abilities. College coaches and prospects would show up to watch my team play. While on the field, in the back of my mind, all I could think about was making my name athletically famous. At the same time, I knew that my actions in the classroom were a whole lot more important. My vision of becoming a baseball player seemed more like a dream after not hearing from a single college coach going into my senior year of high school. This was great knowing my father did not have to pay any money for school. While setting up classes for the fall semester, I noticed that the scholarship was not applied to my tuition. A little disappointing but gave me the strength and desire to do something about it. The first few

part of the overall system of academia. Though throughout the history of scholarship, plagiarism has appeared as it's an inevitable human error. However, it appears as though in recent years in particular within the United States, a lack of academic integrity and a rise in blatant plagiarism among students has risen to the fore front of education and is now hazing over the integrity that was once respected and held dear (library.Illinois.edu). The act of using someone else's ideas, words…
