Internet and email AUP. Introduction :
This notice is to all users of the Richman Investments network. We have established an Acceptable Use Policy in regard to internet and email use through our network. This
AUP will grant access to users of our network while also binding them to the agreements below. Policy Guidelines :
● Email and Internet users are expected not to visit sites outside of work purposes or open any emails from personal email accounts to avoid exposure to malware.
● Work email accounts must be registered with Richman Investments so that they can be monitored.
● Communications through our network MUST be for business purposes only, while we allow the responsible use for research purposes to enhance productivity.
● User’s are expected to maintain professionalism through all forms of communication. ● Personal devices are prohibited from our workstations and network, including USB storage and drives, laptops, tablets, and cell phones.
● Email users will be required to change their passwords every sixty days or after fifty session logins to avoid unauthorized access and will be held responsible to only open mail from known addresses.
● No executable downloads or programs may downloaded, installed, or otherwise modified. The use of the Internet is a privilege, not a right, and inappropriate use will result in a cancellation of those privileges. The purpose of the internet resources is to help employees in the performance of their job related functions and not for personal usage.
Each employee that is given privileges will have to comply with the company’s policy.
Internet usage should be conducted for the company business only. Internet use creates the possibility of virus attacks or allowing any unauthorized people to get into our system with the potential of accessing company’s confidential information. The use of personal internet must be limited and only to be used for web based emails only with the approval of your Supervisor or Manager.
