Gender is associated with biological characteristics of the person. From the day a baby is born, that baby is immediately classified as a boy or a girl. It is indeed that the boy and girl, woman and man gender categories can not represent people entirely. Intersex, gay, lesbian, and bisexual are often overlooked or ridicule by many people. In contemporary American culture, we like to think of beautiful women as fit or skinny. However, Asian culture value the masculinity of a man much more feminist compare to the view of masculinity in the United States. Gender identity is a person private sense of self-subjective experience and their own gender categories.

The gender between men and women has been exhibits some degree of patriarchy order that creates gender inequality for dominance men over women. Although gender inequality does exist in some part of the world in particular culture, but it does not implies that gender inequality exist all places. According to Gottleib, “Among the Lahu of southwest China, is the society that exhibits a great measure of gender equality (Gottlieb P176).” For instance, a male and a female village chief hold power collectively. Men and women perform as collective roles in a household as they can. During pregnancy, husbands take much of their wives’ workloads such as sharing childrearing tasks. It is a surprise that gender equality does exist in the system where the Chinese Communist Party espoused the ideological gender equality.

Sexual desire does not merely stem from naturalness of sexual drive in human instinct. It is the cultural construction of sexual desires, which lead to increasing in sex drive and activity among westerners. In many western societies, people are commonly value sexual desire as natural urge, and irrepressible.
