Case Study The area under investigation had several complaints from 12 female and 2 male workers complaining of lightheadedness and dizziness. All of these workers work in the same area of the production area. This area included 20 loading docks, 2 railroad car areas, and a dozen or so gas powered forklifts running around. The possible culprit behind the complaints are high levels of carbon monoxide (CO2) in the area. The area would be shut down for a short period time to start investigating possible reasons for the complaints. To start investigating the area with air monitoring devices for carbon monoxide and oxygen levels. After an initial check after shutting the area down and the levels were normal, I would return the area to production. Once production began I would start the air monitoring process again to see what would change and where it would come from. The likely areas of concern would be the constant fork trucks running around the area with no ventilation, the constant moving of trucks and trailers moving in and out of the loading area, and the rail car loading area with rail cars being moved in and out. The area with concentrations of CO2 lower than 50ppm and O2 levels above 95% would need to have some type of ventilation system and oxygen induction system. Another possible solution would
