Have you ever had a struggle or a journey that has impacted you? If you did, did a event affect your life or impact you in a certain way? In my case I am still on that journey. The journey that I am on is to become a agricultural engineer. You might ask “what is an engineer” or “what do they do”; an engineer is a person or group of people that design and builds equipment, buildings, bridges, computer programing or they even redesign landscapes. I have researched agricultural engineering in and outside of school which I discovered that they do a lot of work outside and with their hands. Those two things are what I really enjoy doing and feel that is the right career path for me. I first was interested in agricultural engineering
My schedule for my first semester was Agriculture applicants, Horticulture 1, Math 1, and World history honors. As you can probably tell, the first two classes were major influences in my interest in agricultural engineering. Both of these classes were involved heavily in the FFA, also they mainly involved working in either a shop or outside which I really enjoyed. The first class, Agriculture applicants, was the introduction to the agriculture world. In the class it focused on talking about safety, tool identification, and the use of animals and crops in the agricultural industry. Did you know that without agriculture you would be naked and hungry, that's just a little fact for you. Throughout that class I learned the history of the FFA, how to use tools properly and efficiently, building complex projects and most importantly working together with other people. Those were all things I really enjoyed so I did some research and concluded that a agricultural engineering has very similar job experiences. My second period was Horticulture 1 which is the part of agriculture that involves the study of plants and their interactions with the environment. In that class we studyed the antomey of planets, insects impact on planets and of course the
What concerns me the most is messing my chances up to become a agricultural engineer. I think its a possiblity that my job interest might change within these four years. In my opiouin, the four years of high school are the most important years of your life because what you do during these four years affects your future in a very big way. It all depends on who you hang around, how your carry yourself through classes, and how you act outside of school. I am concerned the most about messing the chances up for myself. For example, driving under the influence or a DUI ruins that chance and all that hard work because it shows up on your background check when your appling for a job which tells the employer that you can not be trusted. I want to do something in my life and make a change in the world or just a change around the area I live. One of my biggest fears is failing. I need to focus on school and think through decsions that I make. To conclude, the impact of agriculture on me is not working for nothing and working for something. I want to be able to have own things because I put in the work to have
