1.1 Identify different types of equipment and their uses

Photocopier- copies documents
Laminator-A clear pocket that seals in heat to protect your important documents Binder – A machine that makes a bunch of paper into a booklet
Telephone- To make direct contact with a person that is not beside you or in the same room as you. Shredder- A machine that cuts confidential documents into thin strips. Computer- Printer- Guillotine-

1.2 Describe the different features of different types of office equipment

Photocopier: It is used to copy documents, print on both sides of the paper, make multiple copies of the document, decrease or increase the size the document. Some machines may even be able to print A4 or A3 size paper. Often on an industrial or office photocopier you may be able to scan the document and be able to send the text as an email format.

Laminator: A laminator is a machine that heats up so that a document can be sealed. The laminating pocket is a clear cover to that it seals the paper in the pouch. This again can be A4, A3 or smaller versions.

Binder: the binder allows pages to be collected together in a booklet by pressing holes in the sheets and then using a comb binder to secure all the sheets together into a booklet form.
