Synopsis about Myself
Greetings readers, my name is Nabil Haikal, a 14 year old grade 9 student from the prestigious International Business Technology Program in Gordon Graydon Memorial Secondary School. I think the best words that characterize me are keen, open-minded person who loves to be around friends and family. I have recently moved on from semester 1 to semester 2, which has some of the most challenging courses like business, science, English, and French. The course I am most excited about is English, because it requires creativity, open-mindedness, and the ability to analyse and articulate ideas. My first year as a Canadian student was grade 7. I have many interests and goals, so I will focus on the ones that I feel reflect my personality better at this stage. I enjoy outdoor sports, particularly soccer. I also relish reading many books. One of my favourite authors is Dan Brown. His books The Da Vinci Code and Inferno are my favourites; I found them enigmatic and thrilling. However, the reason why I mostly like Dan Brown’s books is because he seamlessly incorporates history into them, as I am a history fanatic. I have many goals, both short-term and long-term. In the short-term, I would focus on learning and getting the best marks that I can, particularly in English and science. In later years, I would continue to concentrate on improving and maintaining my academic records that enable me to enter a prestigious university. From there, I would probably focus on economics and political sciences, as I am more drawn towards mathematics, politics, and history.
