A party is social gathering of invited guests, typically involving eating, drinking, and entertainment. Just about everyone in America loves to loosen up and enjoy themselves at some point in their lives. Most achieve this simply by going out to a party. No matter the type of party, they all provide the similar purpose: a great time. Although the people who attend enjoy themselves, what about the person who hosted the party? Picking a date to throw the party is perhaps the most important part of the process. Without a date there can be no party. Depending on the type of party being thrown, factors like weather, time, location, and season must be considered. A pool party on a stormy day would be an unwise choice and probably would result in a low turnout of guest or no guest at all. Be aware of other parties that may be planned due to a certain time of the year such as, Fourth of July, Christmas, and Halloween etc. Check for city wide events or venues and plan around those also .Gain information by asking the guests of interest when would be a great time for them to attend. This should help in creating invitations and finding a big enough location. It also helps in knowing about what is going on at the time of the planned party. After getting enough information, it makes getting the food a bit simpler.
After securing a date, next comes the complex part of providing food for the occasion. This can tie into the theme of party I.e.: Christmas/New Year’s Eve, Birthday, Wedding etc. If the theme is Christmas/New Year’s going all out and having an expensive menu as opposed to a birthday party where you may only want to have pot luck. Creating a menu also includes drinks- both hot and cold, desserts and finger foods. Often a key ingredient in parties, drinking allows your guests to socialize and get more acquainted with each other. Make things interesting by having a dessert table served buffet style. Self-serving may also be used for finger foods, or drinks. This way guests can help themselves which may alleviate stress of serving food or beverages at specific times.
