Christian World View: Gospel Essentials Our worldview allows us to see into the world at such an angle that it coincides with our beliefs, therefore affecting how we think and live. Whether one falls under an atheistic, pantheistic, or theistic worldview, they are guided in their life choices depending on the beliefs of their worldview. Throughout this paper, I will summarize the elements of a Christian Worldview such as God, Humanity, Jesus, and Restoration; I will then analyze questions one might have about the Christian Worldview, and finally I will reflect on my worldview. Jesus Christ is thought to be the ultimate Savior because He is fully human and fully divine. He has lived a life as a human therefore he knows what it is like to experience temptation and sin. Although Jesus never sinned in His human form, he is relational because He knows what is like. “Nothing is clearer in The New Testament or the Christian Worldview than the uniqueness of Jesus in whose name alone there is salvation, before whom every knee should bow and every tongue confess that he is Lord to the glory of God the Father.” (Philippians 2:10-11) (Braaten, 1980) Jesus is important to the Christian Worldview because he is the only way to earn salvation. By accepting Him into our hearts, we are accepted by our Lord. He has taught many life lessons throughout the Bible, such as love thy neighbor and forgiveness no matter the cost. He has taught by example in his parables of how we should live our lives. Jesus Christ is the cornerstone of Christianity. Restoration The Christian Worldview believes that the solution to all human problems comes from the sacrificial death of Christ made upon the cross. Whereas other worldviews believe that trusting in one’s own good works will offer salvation, Christianity offers certain salvation through trusting in Christ’s good works.
