There is a variety of ways they can experience these feeling.

Race - They may be discriminated against just because of the colour of their skin. They may get called names or not be included in games.
Disability - If a child has any type of disability, be it learning or physical,then they can be discriminated against. Children may make fun of them as they may be slower than their classmates.
Size - A child may be discriminated against because they are small or because they are tall, or it may be due to the fact they may be overweight. This may mean other children will not pick them for their team in sports or want to play with them.
Culture – They may feel they are prejudiced against because of their culture as they may have to do everyday things in different ways, or may have to take time out for prayer.
Background – perhaps they come from single parent family or there is money issues within their family. They can be mocked if their uniform looks in poor repair compared to others.

The impact of this can have serious consequences if this goes on for a long period of time unnoticed. The child who is suffering the discrimination may have low self esteem, feel unworthy and lack motivation to work or even attend school.
