Decision-Making Process I have been working for the same company for almost three years. When I started in 2010, I was an administrative assistant to the manager of payroll. Within 6 months, I was promoted to payroll specialist and received a raise. I really enjoyed working for that team. In 2012, my boss gave me the opportunity to travel to Chicago and assist with the process of centralizing the Chicago branch payroll to the corporate office. I was told that I was going to be the Team Lead for the new Chicago payroll and have a team of about 5 people. This was very exciting to me. After I returned and had been controlling the process for about a month, I had still not gotten my promotion to Team Lead. I started to have anxiety and began to hate my job. I talked to my boss several times about it and all he could tell me was that his boss wouldn’t approve it. After some time, I noticed that the AP Manager would tease me about how she wanted me on her team. So one day I placed my resume on her chair. I had decided to leave the department because I was no longer happy with my position and duties. I wanted to learn something new and advance my career to another level. I ended up moving to the Accounting department, which is where I am now. I would say that the process of this decision I made does go in hand with the text.
