Decision Making Paper

This is something we all have to deal with each and everyday of our lives. People make decisions each and every day, some of those decisions are easy to make, while others are quite difficult to make. Appropriately combined and organized decision-making process will help to control this issue and bring positive outcomes for people enrolled in it. In this paper I will provide decision-making process when I had to make a personal decision, such as opening my own auto repair shop. I do want to acknowledge the fact that decision-making process does become challenging for people due to “the lack of structure and entail risk, uncertainly and conflict” (Bateman and Snell, 2012, p. 86). That is why people trying to make some important personal or professional decisions should have some appropriate model to follow in order to avoid such challenges. The first thing that I had to do was to identify and analyze the problem. The thing is that I had to identify what exactly I wanted in this adventure that I was about to take. With that I had to analyze all the cost and affects of this move. The thing is to know where I was going to open and how would the location affect my shop. The main thing in this is location when it came down to identifying and analyzing my prospective shop. The second thing was to choose an alternative answer to the problem. In which I took out time to plan for a second location if I wasn’t able to get the first one. I also thought about having a back-up plan in place to return to work for my former boss if necessary.
