Most colleges tend to have counseling programs on campus, for those who are having problems facing their bad experiences. Acquaintance date rape survivors are more likely to have consumed alcohol or drugs before they take action in the assault. Consuming alcohol and using drugs reduce their awareness of signs of aggression in the rapist or their ability to respond to any type of violence. The predators can also use drugs before they incapacitate their victims. Date rape drugs are very potent and they can take effect very quickly, possibly from a few minutes to half an hour.
