I have a very strong and long history working in Customer Service. I have served in Customer Service since I began working seven years ago. Customer service as defined in the text book is “the ability of knowledgeable , capable, and enthusiastic employees to deliver products and services to their internal and external customers in a manner that satisfies identified and unidentified needs and ultimately results in positive word-of-mouth publicity and return business.”
I worked my first four years of Customer Service in a retail area at Limited Too and Family Video. Although Limited Too and Family Video have no relations to one another they do however deal with Customer Service that are considered good and bad. Well working at Limited Too a Customer Service Representative was in charge of helping customers locating items, displaying new items and offering young girls and their shopping partner’s items, options and choices. I believe that focusing on your customers, providing them with your full attention and meeting their needs is good Customer Service. Bad Customer Service would be putting your side work and extra activities before helping your customers that are present in the store.
The last three years I have worked for, the last of few family owned banks in Northwest Indiana, Centier Bank. Well working here Customer Service Representatives are responsible for completing client’s transactions, answering questions and assisting the clients in finding the correct associates with their further needed and
