There seems to be a lot of arguments regarding the question, “Should parents need a licence to raise their child?”. Personally I think making it a requirement to have a licence to raise your own child is absolutely ridiculous. We can only have so many rules handed to us by the government. Restricting people from our right to raise our own child is where we have to draw the line. I think going as far as to change the law on getting the licence would take things a little too far. Many people think if someone has parents that aren't “normal” to their standards that they are going to grow up a delinquente. Some kids that grow up with those different parents turn out to be extremely successful. People stereotype these children into growing up and being just like their parents. There have been so many cases when the kid turns out to be nothing like the parent was. Having a licence for the child/children you're raising could add up to be expensive very fast. Kids are already expensive enough as it is but throwing a licence on top of that would cost more. Depending on the amount of children you have changes the cost of the licences. We have licences to drive a car, or to buy a house, those are objects. Children are not just something you can have a licence for we are human beings.
