Cheese Rolling Competition
History
Cheese rolling began from a ceremony. This ceremony originally took place on a Whit Monday before later transferred to the Spring Bank Holiday. There were two parts for the ceremony. The first is said that it evolved from a requirement for maintaining grazing rights from the common people. The second part is of pagan origins for the custom of rolling objects down the hill. It is thought that bundles of burning brushwood were rolled down the hill to represent the birth of the New Year after winter. Connected with this belief is the traditional scattering of buns, biscuits and sweets at the top of the hill by the Master of Ceremonies. This is said to be a fertility rite to encourage the fruits of harvest. Since the fifteenth century the cheese has been rolled down the hill, and people have competed to catch it. Thus began the game of cheese rolling.

Rules
- In cheese rolling there are no teams. It is every man/woman for themselves.
- The game length depends on two things. The game ends if someone catches the cheese. It also ends if the cheese crosses the line at the end of the hill.
- You win the round if you catch the cheese block before anyone else or before it crosses the line.
- You get kick out of the round if you are caught pushing or shoving others.

Equipment
- Each round you can as many players as the hill can hold. But you
