Goal 1: Safety
As a candidate, I provide a safe environment to prevent and reduce injuries.
One of my goals in the area of safety is to prevent or reduce injuries while children are in my care. This is an important goal because young children are often not aware of hazards in the environment or of behaviors that could cause injury. One of the ways I do this is by supervising children at all times. I always make sure children are where I can see and hear them, even when they are napping. I arrange tables and chairs in a way that I could see them. Another way I do this is by checking the child-care environment, both inside and outside. Every morning before the children arrive to make sure that outlet plugs are in place and that there are no broken toys or dangerous objects in the child care space. Outside, I check to be sure that there are no rusting equipment, garbage, sharp pieces, and that all gates are closed.
When preparing food, I make sure to wear gloves and my hair is back. When it comes to preparing, storing and serving food, there are a number of precautions that I take to ensure safety. I always keep chemicals locked up and away from children at all times. In my preschool, cleaners, first aid solutions, medications and all other toxic substances are kept in a high, flame-defiant and safety-locked cabinet.
Additionally, I always have emergency plans posted in each room.
CRC were transformed into specific, measurable and time bound goals in 1990 at the World Summit for Children (WSC), where world leaders adopted a Plan of Action for implementing the Summit’s Declaration on the Survival, Protection and Development of Children in the 1990s. At the United Nations Special Session on Children in 2002, 180 nations adopted the outcome document, “A World Fit for Children” a new agenda outlining 21 specific goals and targets for the next decade. This agenda commits leaders…
Discourse Analysis? Critical discourse analysis (CDA) is a type of discourse analytical research that primarily studies the way social power abuse, dominance, and inequality are enacted, reproduced, and resisted by text and talk in the social and political context. With such dissident research, critical discourse analysts take explicit position, and thus want to understand, expose, and ultimately resist social inequality. Some of the tenets of CDA can already be found in the critical theory of the…

It has political, psychological, economic, strategic, sociological, historical, ideological, and moral connotations which cannot be discarded from the definition. The phenomenon of terror has an intrinsic goal that is conditioned to ‘instill fear indirectly’…

Homework Research Assignment Part 1 1 Just as with consumer-oriented versions of Windows, Windows Server comes in several different varieties to accommodate features useful to different types of users. Large businesses are willing to pay dearly for operating systems that support dozens of processors and thousands of users, but a small business would be loathe to pay the same price when all they want is to run a small volume web server. By creating multiple versions with different feature sets…

Commerce; and in Chapters II and IV of Tile XII of Book IV of the Spanish Civil Code of 1889 (whew!) During the American Regime, on Dec. 11, 1914, the Phil Legislature enacted the Insurance Act (Act 2427). This Act which took effect on July 1, 1915 repealed the provisions of the Spanish Code of Commerce on Insurance. When the Civil Code of the Philippines (RA 386) took effect on August 30, 1950, the provisions of the Spanish Civil Code of 1889 were likewise repealed. For quite…
of sports began in the 1870s and continued until the 1920s with tennis, soccer and rugby creating international administrative institutions – the most prominent achievement being, of course, the establishment of the International Olympic Committee. [1] Given the unrepresentative nature of the colonial international system it was obvious that the Western nations would dominate the new sporting institutions. As Douglas Booth points out, however, the West’s domination of international sports continued…
