Body Image on Magazines

In today’s magazines models are being presented as the perfect image with the perfect body but then again in reality what people do not now is that the photographs are digitally altered photographs which are creating women’s insecurity in today’s society. Women are being hypnotized by what is being advertised in magazines it does not matter if they are already skinny because skinny is not good enough for them. Women want the perfect body that they are seeing on these magazines. Women want the boobs the butt and the curves.
My niece is only five years old and she is already worrying about being fat and she is not fat. Kids should not be worrying about looking like a model at such young age. These magazines are creating conflict and are ruining the image of true beauty. These magazines are not teaching today’s society about the importance of how important it is to love yourself for what you are on the contrary women are being blinded by what they are seeing in magazines not knowing that there is no such thing as a perfect body. Magazines are creating a lot of negative moods and body dissatisfaction such as, eating disorders, low self-esteem, insecurity, and in some cases it can lead women to kill themselves for not loving and accepting who they are. All of these issues initiated bad images towards the media because it was truly affecting the women psychologically.
