Abortion is a well known controversial issue in the world today. What is abortion? Abortion is the termination of a pregnancy by removal or expulsion from the uterus of a fetus or embryo prior to viability. Is it legal, why, and when? Yes it is legal, abortion became legal between the 1960’s and early 1970’s when the United States began to lift there bans on abortion. Many people believe that it is the woman’s choice on whether or not the unborn child should live. My opinion on abortion in any matter is that it is murder. Many people have different views on when life starts. Many believe life does not began until the unborn child is born. Well in my eyes life begins when the sperm meets the egg. It is sad that there are 1.2 million abortions a year.1.2 million lives taken every year with no choice no chance to grow, no voice to speak. 1.2 million humans being murdered. 1.2 million beating hearts forced to stop. There are 4 different ways to abort a child. The first being the suction method where the fetus is broken down into blood and tissue and collected in a bottle. The second method is the forceps method where the fetus and the placenta is scraped out with a spoon like instrument with sharp like edges, also called a forceps. Sometimes the fetus has to be cut into smaller parts and taken out piece by piece. Third is called the caesarean type method where the baby is removed from the abdomen. The baby normally lives for a couple of hours until its heart stops because he organs are not sufficiently developed. Lastly the chemical method is when the doctor injects a strong salt water solution through the walls of the abdomen into the womb which makes the baby thrash around for a minute and eventually killing the fetus. The baby is delivered within twenty four hours after this procedure. Many women who have abortions go through a mental state of denial, of missing, wanting that unborn child
