‘A sense of belonging often emerges as a result of our feelings of acceptance and understanding.’

Belonging is a feeling that all humans want and need to survive. Without being accepted by anybody you will feel left out and alone, you wouldn’t have anybody to guide you or even help you make good quality decisions in life. With a sense of acceptance you would feel on top of the world and ready to take on anything because you know that the people with you will always have your back. But belonging means something different to everybody, some people feel like they associate to a group of friends/communities/sporting teams, while others may think they are attached to a certain place. The loss of identity of the migrants made them wonder where they really do belong. Without understanding yourself you won’t be able to find your identity, and without an identity you will feel isolated from everybody and everything.

The 40 Year Old Virgin is about nerdy guy who's never "done the deed" only finds the pressure mounting when he meets a single mother. The main character Andy (played by Steve Carell) is a man that has nobody and he feels most comfortable at home playing with his Star Wars figuring’s or playing computer games. His only social life is going to work where everybody thinks he is a loser and somebody who is a ‘goody two shoes.’ It’s not till one day where some of his work mates ask him to stay back after work for a couple of drinks. So he did that so he could fit in and feel accepted to the group. As the night went on he got more and more confident to the group and contributed to the group by asking and answering questions. But one little slip of a word got him feeling isolated from the group. This was that he was a virgin and they all started to make fun of him. He felt alienated from the group and he didn’t want to be seen by them at work the next morning. But he ended up going
