Communication between locals is typically relaxed & informal, being interrupted is not considered rude as Brazilians are direct in the manner of speaking & in what they say. Personal space when communicating is obsolete, gentle touch & closeness is normal, but foreigners may mistake this for flirtation or inappropriate behavior.
Those working in a service provision rarely have eye contact with people perceived as having a higher social status. Punctuality to locals is not always adhered to, where as corporate social status & foreigners try to maintain being on time out of respect which is shown in high regard.

Brazilians hold trust in a person, rather than dealing with a rather than a company, they are nonconfrontational & expect the same respect reciprocated when speaking.
Trust & Respect are among the most imperative traditions in Brazil. Brazilians consider women to maintain the house, have well manicured hands for corporate social working women. When in Brazil passing out business cards at the time you meet with the facing side in Portuguese & the back side in English shows signs of respect for business & as a person.

The life expectancy rate in Brazil is 73 & the educational level varies pending the financial wealth. Private schools are costly whereas public schools are free. There are three (3) progressive stages – Elementary (Ages 6-14), High School (15-17),
Higher Education (this occurs after schooling is completed & families can afford the cost.) Unfortunately, most children do not reach past 10 yrs. old before leaving school to help their families financially. The Brazilian government is taking measures to resolve these current issues.

I selected Brazil, not just for the beauty of the country; but the way of life is laid back, fun-filled & exciting. Although, in my research I have found a large concern for poverty, lack of law enforcement, & lack of educational opportunities. The enjoyment of life & what it has to offer absolutely needs to balance with ethics, morals, rules & regulations. Brazil is making strides to achieve all of these in a society that has hesitations in making changes.
