We invested in more frontline staff to support service developments such as our special falls team and major trauma centre, including:

£4.4M raised by our Charity

Financial performance 2013/14
We achieved all of our financial targets, including:
• A small £0.7M surplus (£3.5M less than planned). This was made possible by £4M external support
• Delivering £39.9M savings (£5M less than planned)
• Investing £36.8M in our capital programme

New Cystic Fibrosis Unit
• £6.6M facility opened to patients
• 16 beds
