Assignment A: Writing About the Art of Writing
I took this course because I want to improve on my creative writing skills. I know I am a mediocre writer at best. There are so many things I still have yet to learn and I think this course will give me more insight. I have a true passion for writing and I am actually hoping to become a journalist, but I am not good enough just yet. I want to glean enough knowledge as I can so that I will be prepared for university next year. I know that I will be doing a lot of writing at university and it will be ten times more difficult, but I am hoping I will not be as apprehensive when I am through with this course. I expect to identify effective ways to improve the quality of my writings; to be able to put my thoughts on paper in a more engaging, fluent and rhythmical fashion.
Assignment B: Choosing the Correct Audience
1. Knowing the audience is important because it determines the content that will appear in the writing. I think the content of a writing piece that has a specific topic that varies depending on the audience. The writer decides what the target audience will be for his or her writings by isolating what groups of people the content of the piece of writing would interest. For example, if I were to write a book about romance, my book would probably interest females
2. Importance of Snow Tires
The target audience is directed toward those who live in snow conditions. In addition the audience includes those who are vigilant and cautious about possible incidents happening on the road. The audience if furthermore directed to those who are old enough to have a license (16 and over).
There is No Liberation in Being a Liberal
The target audience is directed to conservatives. They do not have the same beliefs and values liberals do.
