In a world as diverse as plant Earth, there are many aspects of the media that help define who people are and what they decide to become. Journalism is one of many areas in the huge spectrum of media and communication. Journalism is the timely reporting of events at the local, provincial, national and international levels and it has played a major role in shaping my life as a citizen, student, and a career-seeking individual. On a cold rainy night in the city I tossed and turned in my bed trying to fall asleep. I knew it would be time to get ready for school in a few hours, so decided to force myself to sleep. When I arrived at school, I rushed through the slightly crowd hall of students and into my teachers classroom. Once inside I drastically explained to him what I had witness last night; hoping of getting a chance to really dig deeper in search of evidence relevant to international poverty. My instructor was very surprised that I had taken such an issue to heart and reluctantly gave me time to really research this topic. I quickly filled with excitement and darted to start my research. While researching I came across several interesting factors that lead to grave things that would shape my career. About 25,000 people die every day of hunger or
