Toothpaste test lab

Lab Procedure: 1 ):We started by looking at the appearance of the toothpaste, and their smell with our naked eyes,
2:)We took a sample of each toothpaste and put them on the microscope to see the difference with our naked eyes,
3:) Next we put three water drop in each one of them and looked again in the microscope to see the abrasiveness of each one of them between 1 to 5.
4 :) And next we mixed each toothpaste with water the tets tube, and use a pH paper to find the pH of each of them
5).And finally we took the price of each toothpaste and their tube size (oz)

Purpose: Compare different toothpaste and their effectiveness.

Test 1: Appearance
1. I would most likely use aquafresh becaus of its smell and medium abraviness; it is also not very expensive.
2. Turquoise mint, because it’s not very usual.
3. Peppermint and turquoise mint because, they have a different taste than usual toothpaste like white mint
4. Toothpaste with big crystals tends to be less abrasive.
Test 2: Abrasiveness
5. Aquafresh, baking soda and Pepsodent, Aim and Colgate maxclean
6. To see the scratches from 0 to 5
7. Because a good abrasive help remove plaque from the teeth without damaging the enamel
8. Too harsh of an abrasive will grind away the enamel.
