Many countries have wars that impact them in another way or another. Now a day, the impact of the war can dramatically change the way of life of the people, or it could have no impact at all. A war that made a great impact on the United States of American was the American Revolution. The Revolutionary War was a war fought of the rights and independence of the people with the thirteen colonies.

At the end of the French and Indian war, King George III was known for thinking that he is helping the colonist, however he is only making things worse. He created the Proclamation Line. This was a boundary that was set so as to keep all the settlers from going west of the Application Mountains. Throughout the line he had hundreds of soldiers guarding the border. Because of this, people were furious, and ended salutary neglect. After the king placed his troops on the Proclamation Line, he needs a way to tax all the people, for the reason that he needs to be able to pay his troops, feed his troops, and house his troops. The most effective way of taxing the people was through the Stamp Act. The Stamp Act was when all paper goods, such as letters and documents had a stamp on them. This stamp made the paper cost more (the original fee plus the tax fee). The people were not happy about this. After the Stamp Act, was passed, the king enforced the Intolerable Acts. These acts stated that, people had to house soldiers, know as the Quarting Acts, public meets were not to be held, there was no freedom of speech, and no trading because Boston Harbor was closed. This really set the people over the edge, which let to the Non-Importation Acts. This was how that colonist “boycotted” the English, therefore having the Stamp Acts abolished. Soon after the Importation Acts were abolished, multiple events took place in Boston Massachusetts. The king started to tax people again. Once this happened, the people decided to complain. The colonist decided to protest in front of the Customs house in, in Boston. There were soldiers ranging from sixteen to about fifty or sixty years old guarding the house.
