What are the different parenting types used by families? Which do you think is better? Why?
The different parenting types used by families are authoritarian, authoritative, and permissive. The difference between authoritaian, authoitative, and permissive parenting styles are that authoritarian parents impose rules and expect obedience. Authoritative parents are both demanding and responsive. They exert control not only be setting rules and enforcing them but also explaining the reason. Permissive parents are where they sumit to their childrens desires, make few demands, and use little to no punishments when they do something wrong. I believe the best parenting style would be authoritative because as a teen I would not want to be demanded to do something but asked. I hate it when my mother asks me to do something or go somewhere that I don’t want to and say “because I said so” is the most hated phrase people hear. I would to understand why and have a good reason behide it. As every kid has learned when growing up heard, “ treat others as you would want to be treated.” No one likes to be demanded and only expect obediense in return. To me is does not give the right message to kids with authoritive parenting style. But I do not believe parents should be permissise to their childs every need, they will grow up believeing that their parents will provide everything in which they need and want for a long time even as an adult they would still be a child.

What makes a person ready for parenthood?when should an individual consider entering parenthood? Who should postpoe parenthood? Should everyone become a parent eventually?
