How Does War Halt Development
Wars can have many devastating affects on a country, involving political, social, and economical changes.

Firstly, wars are extremely expensive and the government spends huge amounts of money in order to fund for war equipment and weapons, which goes onto, increase government dept. This leads on to Government taking out an additional amount of money to finance the rebuild of damaged roads, destroyed buildings, water pipes and power supplies.

Most wars create areas of intense destruction of resources such as farms, factories and cities. This severely affects the economical input and output. As a result of countless deaths and casualties, industry and production are reduced and in some cases businesses cease to trade.

During a war, most certainly, other resources that are destroyed include infrastructure e.g. buildings, roads, power supplies etc. and health resources e.g. hospitals.
People’s homes are destroyed; most commonly people have to live without a home and may need to build temporary shelter in over crowed areas. Employment is reduced, with less income and therefore it partly contributes to poverty.

As a lot of people are injured or severely wounded they need to be treated, however if health resources such as medicines, surgical equipment, etc. people are at serious risk of death. If there are more casualties than usual, hospitals become over crowded and cannot function properly. Also, in the event of a war, food
