UNPRECEDENTED CHOICES

According to an unknown author,"life has its twists and turns, as everyone of us sometimes learns." This states that the world works in mysterious ways; good or bad its up to us to deal with the decisions we make in order to move on forward. The quote relates to the saying, " when life hands you lemons you make lemonade." These two quotes can be direct examples from two poems titled," Don't Quit " and " The Road Not Taken." These quotes simply put things in perspective for the reader to grasp what the author is telling us in their poems. The title indicates that people will come across decisions that they would have never imagine taking. If taken seriously one shouldn't quit on little road bumps waiting ahead.

The main theme is don't quit in your decision because if you give up you will find yourself waiting all your life. In the poem "Don't Quit," by an unknown author, the writer uses many themes to get his point across. The main theme is of course don't quit, but he also uses the theme of regret and seeing light in the dark to furthermore explain its importance. For Example, "Rest, if you must, but don't you quit (Unknown 6)." The author shows a theme of regret when he writes, "When he might have captured the victor's cup, and he learned too late when the night slipped down, how close he was to the golden crown (Unknown 16-18)." In the poem "The Road Not Taken," by Robert Frost, it states "Yet knowing how way leads on to way, I doubted if I should ever come back(Frost 14-15)." This means that he chose a path to take and didn't regret on the choice he made because he stuck to his decision and didn't quit. In addition he continues writing and says, "Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-- I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference (Frost 18-20)."
In this quote Frost makes his example clear that he was given two choices and he chose the one that best suited him.

Don't you dare quit! This is what I've heard all my life when I was growing up as a kid in Queens. Whether it was playing my favorite sport or playing my instrument, I was told this when I was young. In the poem "The Road Not Taken," it starts off saying "Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, and sorry I could not travel both (Frost 1-2)." This to me meant that as much as you want to go down both roads one should conquer fear and face the decision one must take. I applied this daily in my life and I succeeded till I lost my ways and failed my first year in grade school. Since then i felt inferior in terms of my studies as a student and sought to be better than everyone. Just as I was about to lose hope I then remembered
