Life of the Native Americans

There are many ethnic groups in the United States today. The first ethnic group to ever come to the United States was the Native Americans. Here you will find out more about the Native Americans when and why they came to America, where they settled and why, what distinguishes them from others how well America accepted them, how well they adjusted to the American life style, and if they kept their identity. Native Americans were the first to be in America, until the Europeans came to take over their land. They have lived on these lands many years before the Europeans came. Native Americans have been forced to migrate to southeastern parts of the United States following the Indian Removal Act of 1830. Many Native Americans suffered from exposure, disease and starvation en route to their destinations. Many died, including 4,000 of the 15,000 relocated Cherokee.
I don’t believe there is a reason why Native Americans came to America because they were already here before anyone else. In the areas that they lived, they had their natural resources, everything they needed to survive they had. They hunted for food, made their own silverware and made their own shelter.
Native Americans were involved in the French and Indian war. Some fought on the side of the French for British expansion, and others fought on the side of the British because they wanted to prove assimilation and loyalty to preserve their territories. Native Americans settled on parts of North America and South America. The places they settled in North America are the eastern woodlands and the southeast, the plains, the California- intermountain area the plateau region the sub arctic the northwest pacific coast and the arctic. Each one of these areas had many different tribes.
