9.3 –Analyse the factors that tend to trigger own stress.
For me factors that tend to trigger my own stress are closely linked to my role within the company and are triggered by my workload, lack of support and guidance from management to achieve my targets and perform my role effectively and also a lack of communication.
My role in the company is Recruitment & Training manager. This means that I have two responsibilities to work effectively to.
As recruitment manager, it is my responsibility to ensure job vacancies are advertised, arrange and conduct interviews with all applicants. After conducting the interviews it’s my responsibility to then inform all successful applicants and begin the process of reference checks from past employers and also DBS checks by entering all the applicants’ information onto the system, building a personal staff file and ensuring each section is complete. I then arrange training date for the new staff to start their training; this is usually done either by phone call or email. Their information then has to be added to the staff system on the computer by me. All aspects of this part of my role are office based and therefore require me to have office time rostered in to my working week to enable me to carry out this role effectively. I am also the training manager which means this role requires me to conduct training courses for both new staff and also refresher training for long term staff members, by entering training dates on the system to appear on staff rotas for the following week to ensure they attend. I also support staff in their personal development, and conduct competency assessments of standards, moving & handling
