The Place that I am visiting on my trip is the city of Cairo, Egypt. The reason why I have this city in Egypt for my trip manly is because of all the knowledge the city holds, also for all of the things that have still not been discovered. My stay for this trip will be a week I would like to go around the fall. Cairo, Egypt is a very beautiful place. In Cairo is one of the Seven Wonders of the World the pyramid of Giza There are in fact three main pyramids in Giza; the Great Pyramid of Khufu, The Pyramid of Kafhre and the smaller Pyramid of Menkaura. Each Pyramid is a tomb to a different King of Egypt. In front of the pyramids lies the Sphinx, or Abu al-Hol in Arabic, "Father of Terror". Carved out of a single block of stone, this enormous cat-like sculptor. I will be getting there by plane the plan trip should take 16hrs with one stop the flight will be from Dallas TX to Cairo, Egypt. I will be taking the united flights. I will be staying at the Isis hotel it seems to be a nice, clean, hotel that’s in my budget in central Cairo close to Midan Talaat Harb. Its location on the 15th floor gets you away from the heat and noise of the city. It appears to give some nice Nile views. It's very close to the Egyptian Museum, which will come in handy since I want to visit at least a couple of times to see everything. I believe I certainly get value for my money; rooms are large and most come with private bathroom and TV. The hotel offers some great tours but you are not obliged to take them. From the reviews the Staff is very friendly and helpful. Rates Start at $20 for a shared bathroom, $30 for private bathroom per night. After researching best way to get around Cairo is on foot and its density makes it possible to see the main site. Also there are other transportation types, like camels and buses and metro and also taxis. After reading articles it seem Buses and mini-buses are a good option to get around the city if you speak and read Arabic and are on a tight budget. Tickets can be bought on board but be prepared to get up close with your fellow passengers. There is only one metro system in Africa. The first carriage is for women only, it runs on time, it runs until midnight and it's cheap. You can buy your tickets at the station and hold on to them until you exit at your destination station. Also Taxis are also available to get around. You can hail a cab from any corner of any street, so getting one isn't a problem. They say there are as many taxis in this city just like New York. While I’m in Cairo I want to see the sound and light show centered around the Sphinx is a nightly occurrence. Although after reading some reviews it may sound too touristy for some, everyone ends up learning some interesting facts about the Pyramids and shows are in several different languages. Also I will be seeing the Giza’s three pyramids and the Sphinx were
