The House of Lords has not been so powerful and influential like it was in the past after a series of reforms, such as it was taken away another judicial function in 2009. Actually, there are some limitations in current House of Lords, such as, the Parliament Act of 1991 and 1949 which made the Lords have no control over Money Bills; The Salisbury Convention made the upper chamber can’t oppose the legislation which be definitely put in election manifesto etc. Nevertheless,it still work effectively…
