Treaty of Versailles: Europe was destroyed after WWI ended and the treaty was signed.

Totalitarianism: A government that has total rule over everybody. One person versus everybody else. It does not permit individual freedom and that seeks to subordinate all aspects of the individual’s life.

Nazism: Germany, the main points of interests were the racial superiority of the “Aryan” people. They believed in the annihilation of the Jews.

Fascism: Italy, Spain, it is a totalitarianism. It was based on ethnic, cultural, racial, and religious attributes.

Militarism: Japan, it the belief or desire of a government or people that a country should maintain a strong military capability. The people that are glorified are the soldiers or in the military.

Communism: Soviet Union, is a structure that promotes the establishment of a classless, stateless society based on common ownership. Everybody looks the same.

Appeasement: The policy towards Hitler giving into aggression or violations of the treaty of Versailles in the belief that piece can be maintained.
