Part 1-To friends, family, and/or classmates:

Hey everyone, just wanted to give you guys a heads up that I just got into a minor car accident. I am ok and thankfully nobody got hurt. I got cut off by a BMW and had to swerve in order not to hit them but instead I fishtailed and ended up hitting the curb pretty hard which popped my front tires and mangled my rims so bad that my front axel is probably busted. I can’t believe this fool did this and now I am going to probably have to get a whole new car, which sucks because I just got this one. Oh well guess it’s time to do a little car shopping again.

Part 1-To the Insurance Company:

To Whom It May Concern,

I, Keith Joseph Charles, am formally giving you written notice that today, September 8th, 2012 at 11:00am was in a minor car accident involving my 2013 Kia Optima SXL. I was driving in the center lane of the street when a black BMW cut me off which caused me to swerve to my right . Due to the wet weather conditions when I quickly turned my steering wheel I began to fish tail and ended up slamming into the curb. My two front tires popped and the rims are cracked and I think that my axel might be broken as well. I have filed a police report and have gathered the insurance information of the BMW driver that I will include with this letter. Please inform me what the next steps are to get this resolved quickly since I am now out of transportation till my car is either fixed or replaced. Thank you for all your help and a speedy response.

Part 2:

Anthony,

Sorry that you are having trouble with your Discussion Question response. I think that when you talk to your classmates you have to remember that you are talking to both men and women and when you finish typing out your responses you should read it both from a male and female perspective. Reading it from both perspectives will give you the opportunity to make sure that both sides will not be offended. When you say, “I saw this business lady give a presentation on etiquette. I was surprised because she had a lot of good things to say”, this comes across as saying that you were surprised that a woman could be in business and could actually be
